I also hope to give the general public more awareness of the difficult moments in the lives of athletes, that people might truly appreciate how hard it is to achieve that state of grace, the day when the hard work of the athlete’s trainers, servicemen and partners all come together, paving the way to the highest step of the podium.

I think that both my supporters and my detractors will see me in a new light: A space where I am assailed by doubts, where I’m terrified that I will never make it… but that’s also part of the beauty of life - and to my eyes, the part that makes life worth living.
